Dr. Sean Zar is a Long Island native who brings advanced orthodontic training and a personal touch to every smile he treats. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Stony Brook University before continuing his dental education at the Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine, where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree.
Following dental school, Dr. Zar was accepted into the orthodontic residency program at Stony Brook, where he completed a two-year graduate program specializing in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics. There, he trained under some of the same faculty who mentored Dr. Mizrahi, further shaping his commitment to clinical excellence.
Throughout his academic career, Dr. Zar was recognized for both his academic performance and compassionate approach to care. His training included hands-on experience with a wide range of orthodontic techniques, including braces, clear aligners like Invisalign, and complex treatment planning for patients of all ages.
