Dr. Sean Zar is a proud Long Island native who combines advanced orthodontic training with a warm, personalized approach to care. He completed his undergraduate studies in Biology at Stony Brook University, then went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine.
After dental school, Dr. Zar was accepted into the orthodontic residency program at Stony Brook, where he earned his graduate degree in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics. His training was guided by many of the same esteemed mentors who helped shape Dr. Mizrahi’s orthodontic philosophy, reinforcing his dedication to precision, innovation, and patient-centered care.
During his education, Dr. Zar was consistently recognized for both his academic excellence and his thoughtful, compassionate demeanor.
